Our friendly weekly textiles group at Open Studios Altrincham is about experimenting and designing with textile arts. Working with different threads, fabrics, dyes, materials and techniques, Debbie will support you to build up an understanding of how you can interpret textures, surfaces and ideas into works of art creatively and confidently.
The group is small so that there is more time to tutor individuals and adapt to their needs. Projects suit all abilities, stretching the more advanced student and nuturing the beginner. There’s lots of discussion, lively debate and a really supportive, encouraging atmosphere. If there’s something specific you would like to try, we’ll do our best to put it on the ‘menu’!

Suitable for: All are welcome, no experience is needed.
Materials required: Most materials are provided but students are welcome to bring their own materials or projects to work on. Additional materials will also be available to purchase.
Fee: £10 (members/£12 non-members) per session.
Refreshments: Tea/coffee and biscuits included

It is usually also possible to pay on the day, however, the Friday group is almost at capacity so please email me at debbie@dtcrafts.co.uk beforehand so I can let you know if we have spaces for that session.
