Sock Blank Dyeing Workshop
Saturday 20th January 2018 | 10am – 4pm
Create your own matching hand-dyed socks using simple dyeing techniques and Debbie’s ‘Blank Canvas’ sock blanks. From simple stripes, graduations and blocks of colour to fancy “Faux Fair isle”, with Debbie’s expert guidance you’ll take home a hand-painted canvas to turn into your own masterpiece – you can even paint a hidden message!
This workshop is suitable for beginners and offers a fun day of experimentation for the more experienced dyer.
(Knitted blanks can be readily used for both flat knitting and knitting in the round. Although more often used for smaller projects such as socks, hats, baby and childrenswear, it is also possible to use blanks for larger projects such as adult garments either by incorporating a patterned blank into a plain pattern, or by making a series of matching blanks).
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day.
All materials are provided as part of the workshop.
